HISTORY MAKER HUANG READY FOR MISSION HILLS TEST AT THE ARAMCO CHINA CHAMPIONSHIP

06 November 2025

At just 16 years old, Anna Huang has taken the professional golf world by storm, becoming the youngest-ever winner on the Ladies European Tour (LET) and only the second Canadian to claim a title on the circuit. Now 17, she arrives at Mission Hills Golf Club for the final event of the PIF Global Series, aiming to cap off a remarkable year.

Huang sealed the La Sella Open in September, finishing with a remarkable 20-under-par total – 7 strokes ahead of the nearest competitor Natasia Nadaud. She continued her remarkable form winning the Lacoste Ladies Open de France the following week.

This week she competes at the PIF Global Series’ final event of the year, the Aramco China Championship and sets her sights on another win at the Golf Saudi organised event.

“It would definitely be really special to win here. Some of my family members are coming out to watch, so just being able to play in front of them means a lot. A win would be amazing.

“The PIF Global Series events are always super well-run. I really enjoyed the one iin London – the atmosphere, the crowds, everything was spot on. It’s a great setup and experience for players like me. I’ve also always heard such great things about Mission Hills. It’s such a popular spot in China and pretty famous worldwide. So, I was really excited to come here. With so many golf courses it’s definitely a unique and exciting setting.”

Speaking on her impressive season so far – which includes two wins – the 17-year-old reflected on the unexpected success, saying it was a special feeling to come out on top.

She said: “I definitely didn’t expect to win this year – especially not back-to-back! That wasn’t something I had planned for. But La Sella was such a special event. I had a great first two days, made a lot of putts, and just kind of cruised through the weekend.”

This week’s Aramco China Championship features some of the world’s best, including Ruoning Yin, Muni He, Alison Lee – and for 17-year-old Huang, it’s a surreal experience. “It’s kind of crazy. I get a little starstruck seeing some of the world-class players out here.”, she says. Thanks to Golf Saudi’s commitment to growing the women’s game globally, Huang now finds herself sharing the stage with her idols – a testament to the opportunities being created through there investment and vision.

The Aramco China Championship is the fifth and final event on the PIF Global Series in 2025, with the LET having one more tournament in Spain at the end of the month.
